So... my laptop has now officially been rendered useless. It utterly refuses to do ANYTHING without lagging or being exteremely sluggish. The only thing that it's still good for is surfing the web. So I refuse to do anything music related unless I upgrade my hard drive.

Oh believe me, I do know that feeling. I browsed Newgrounds on a hand-me-down computer that would freeze if you scrolled the page too fast. Then I got my laptop and I loved that computer. Did so many of my interviews on that laptop. Then it started to go around 2012. The last thing I did on it was 2013. Then I switched to a desktop. It fried real quick. I switched to another desktop and I've had this one for quite sometime now. Always thought about building my own computer, but I don't use it for gaming, just writing.
Taking a step back because your system sucks is understandable. You might want to ask around on Newgrounds though, someone might be able to help you out.

Funny thing is I actually managed to fix the issues by running Windows Defender, but thanks for the advice in case it decides to lose its mind on me again.
